Plant smiles...Grow laughs

Hello Everyone,

Happy Saturday... I am sharing a card I colored and halfway finished a couple weeks ago because I am having crafting withdrawals I had to finish it up by just adding the sentiment by JustRite Stamps . It is one of those times things are a little out of whack at home and keeping me away from my craft room and sick with allergies. So I am posting a sweet card with another cute Tiddly Inks image called 'Loving Pixie TI' merged with 'Emma's heart'(flowers x2) I did one smaller and then large to look like it was in the background.

Green

Hello Everyone,

 

Sharing my fun with Tiddly Inks - Bloom Beautifully-Emma. I designed this card with the idea of greens in springtime and St Patricks Day. Playing with green especially because I seem to take special notice this year on how quickly my grass went from patches of brown to beautiful green.  I have always loved how green and pink look together and even do some of my Christmas cards with these colors so this was the color combination color I wanted to use on this particular card.  What is so funny is how I came about to distress the paper. I accidently tore while cutting with a dull cutter so I decided to have fun distressing the paper with a pink ink.  I layed a layer of  Cuttlebug embossed pink design paper underneath. I also powder embossed the sentiment with Bronze Zing to give it a prettier pop instead of always using black. The beautiful color green buttons are from my wonderful button stash.  Emma was colored with Spectrum Noir.  I have also been doing something different with some of my shaped dies as shadow backgrounds. I have been cutting them in half and placing them strategically behind to where it compliments the top layer.

Time to Celebrate

I wanted to take special time to celebrate with Melissa and the Meljen's Design Challenge Blog. A Stroll down Spring Enchantment

                                        

Happy Sunday,

Here today sharing a card with thoughts of a sweet stroll down a spring field of daisies. I used the precious and delightful 'Spring Enchantment' by The Paper Shelter. Isn't she a sweetie. I am here in Texas and we have only been having few peeks of the sun the past couple of weeks. Just when I was enjoying the tiny green buds blossoming from my big tree a freeze came in and killed some of the leafs...so I decided to have some imaginary fun and let 'Spring Enchantment' take me down a spring stroll.  I love daisies, sunflowers and roses....well I love all flowers.

My Creativity is an outsource of the peace and joy God puts into my heart as I pray to him on things that concern me...world issues, children safety, family health and trials. It used to be so hard to realize that such a big God personally cares for something I may think is small like a hurt stubbed toe compared to a hurting and confused physically abused loved one.  I have come to find through the bumps in the road big and small God does...care and he is there in the midst waiting for us to acknowledge his goodness and mercies in your life's journey. He does not force himself upon us yet he gave his only Son to die on the cross for our sins. How could I say "No to him not now I'm busy trying to fix the mess I made"....yet I did, and do and still yet learn more each time.  It took me...what am I say...I am still learning to give him some of life's crazy situations.  Any who...as my Dad used to say...making cards, the beauty of creativity and the goodness of God oozes from my soul and wants to be put on paper.

Freebie Friday at DigiStamps4Joy

 

Hello Everyone,

It is Freebie Friday over at DigiStamps4Joy. The image  above 'Lake Malawi' created by Margy will be available in the store for 3 days...so head on over there and put it in your cart and follow through the buying process and it is yours FREE. If you don't have an account in the store it is as easy as registering.

Here is what I did with 'Lake Malawi'. I went ahead and merged in another DigiStamps4Joy image which is also created by Margy called 'Fishing Tackle' which is available in the Store for $1.50 (US). It is courteous and proper to only merge together digital images created by the same person. I wanted to make this card for my adult Son who loves to fish and I knew he would love this with a personal touch of his fishing tackle. (He loved it and even said "Awww". )

Precolored Digital Image - The Music Practice/The Paper Shelter

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to share this image 'The Music Practice' that I fell in love with and had to purchase from The Paper Shelter.  I happen to see and find it as I was visiting Blog Challenges and some of the pretty cards that were submitted. This particular image brought sweet memories of when I used to play my flute from Elementary to High School.  

 

I don't normally use the pre-colored image but just could not resist the beauty and what I have found with The Paper Shelter they give you a package deal with several digi files to play with: colored image, colored design background by itself and with the colored image...how awesome is that. So I printed the background by itself and then another with the colored digital image and design paper to give it dimension.

 

I just love these pastel pinks and blues that The Paper Shelter used to design this image. As my Wishlist grows I look forward to building my inventory of their sweet, fun and whimsical images. What is going to be so much fun is that I also want to personally color this image for my precious Niece who also plays the flute. I can't wait to personalize it for her.

Flowers Galore

Here is a bigger picture and look at my card with DigiStamps4Joy - Merle image. I used several dies and several layers. Spellbinders Nestabilities and Shapebilities, Marianne Designs/Heart Doily, Joanna Sheen/ Spring Bloom.  My embellishments are a combination of  K & Company/Butterfly, Peachy Cheap/Cabochon flowers, Memory Box/Blooming Vine,  Recollection Pearls, Ranger Liquid Pearls, Martha Stewart glitter, Sentiment by StampArt Designs by Kathryne. I dry embossed the bottom layer with Cuttlebug/Dots. My Flowers are a mixture of handmade with Spellbinder Rose Creations and Recollection flowers.
