Challenge #97 - DigiStamps4Joy

Hello Everyone,

It is time to start a new 2-week Challenge #97 over at DigiStamps4Joy.  The THEME: Black and White. Create a card with black and white...you can use gray. The Challenge period is Wednesday, July 23, 2014 to Tuesday, August 5th. If you use a DigiStamps4Joy image you can win $10 to spend in the DigiStamps4Joy Store.  If you use one from the 'other' guys the top randomly drawn winner will win TWO images of your choice from the store, and 2 runners up 1 image each. Come on and join the fun.


Here is the Digistamps4Joy image called 'Music Sheet' I used to create my card to tickle your creativity.

The supplies I used are the Spellbinders Grand Rectangle, Nestabilities Decorative Labels twenty-Eight. My lattice paper easel die is from JoyCrafts! The dry embossing was done with Anna Griffin/Cuttlebug Folder. I fuzzy cut out my image 'Music Sheet' by hand. Embellishing using my pearls and ribbon from my stash. The charm is from a lot I bought from Hobby Lobby during one of their 50% off Jewelry Charms.

Fun with 'My Little Dimples'

Hello Everyone,

Isn't she just adorable. Let me introduce one of Sherri Baldy's/My Besties pre-colored digital image 'My Little Dimples' this is one image that comes in the 3D Deco 'My Little Dimples' series she has.  If you visited my previous post this is part of the Digital 3D kit I got. Here is my previous post if you want to visit and see how I finished up the 3D Deco image that comes with the kit on this precious image.  I have attached the 3D Deco kit page so you can see what all you get with the kit. I hope you go visit her Etsy Shop I have been taking advantage of knocking some of my favorites off my list even some of these 3D Deco kits.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you all the fun I have been having with this particular 3D kit and all the pieces it comes with. I do have to share I am one of those that feels guilty if I don't color my own image but this has helped me get over it.   Here is what I did with this part of the 3D deco sheets. I fuzzy cut one with My Little Dimples on it and the other the decorated page with the roses on the edge.

3D Extravaganza

Sharing my new found crafting fun and love for 3D Decoupage images by Sherri Baldy with her delightful My Besties.  This particular 3D image is one of Sherri Baldy's My Little Dimples series. I just love them.  This particular My Little Dimples image comes in a 3D Decoupage kit that comes with a pre-colored image with several pieces that you fuzzy cut and layer. Check out her Etsy shop for more details HERE. I would not have found them if I had not met some new Craft friends Annette and Angela on a new My Besties Challenge Blog called 'Meet at the Scrappers Corner' where they have a monthly Challenge with any paper creation including a My Bestie image following their theme. It is amazing all the new friends you can make clear across the world in Cyber world. Not to mention all the fun new craft fun and ideas people share.

I went ahead and chose to showcase this sweet image on a tag to enter  My Besties 3D Deco Blog Challenge they have going on right now with the THEME: Tag You're It!

I found it quite therapeutic cutting the pieces. When I first found out about them before looking at Sherri Baldy's Etsy site I thought I was going to have to color them too...which really would have taken longer. I have worked and done some 3D Paper Piecing projects and thought they were the same but they are quite different. SO with all that said here is a final look at my tag I designed with so much fun and love.

I wanted to show you the back of the tag. I love using my Cuttlebug embossing folders to give the back of  my cards and tags a pretty finish. I inked the folder before embossing just like I did the front. I hope you enjoyed and I inspired you.

My Money Tree

Hello Everybody,

It is New Release Sunday at the DigiStamps4Joy Shop. Here is a fun digital image to play with called 'My Money Tree'.  Don't we all wish we had one. I merged DigiStamps4Joy Digital Image 'Misteri Gardenerr' with the new 'My Money Tree' image. I thought she was perfect to water the Money Tree.  It made me think of when I worked in the office when we would setup a money tree for someones Birthday or Retirement Celebration.

Clean and Simple

Hello Everyone,


I am having fun with Clean and Simple. I am one of those in this crafting mission that has to keep the definition in my site when working this project. I know...it sounds silly but I do. I wanted to create a quick but beautiful card using this wonderfully pre-colored image called Shabby Chic Birdhouse by Beccy's Place. She has some of the most sweet images that tickle my creativity and tug at my heart bringing sweet memories of growing up. This is just one sweet one. It comes with the precolored and a black and white image so you can color to your liking. The sentiment is also from Beccy's Place.

I am going to share with you the definition of Clean and Simple I picked up from CAS on Sunday's to keep on hand.

Here is what I did with Arch Dancer as I dressed her in pretty purples and lime-green . I thought I would try something different to showcase her by using a Spellbinders Scallop die to edge one side of the card. Fun with My Besties

Hello Everyone,

Here today sharing the fun with My Besties Big Eye Big Head Dolls image176 by Sherri Baldy. There are so many that are my favorite. This precious Big Eyes Big Head Doll image reminded me of my Sister with her new pup.  Only thing is I need to make another one for her with a white pup. I was thinking of me and my pup while coloring as I daydreamed we were going out to tea so I drew dream bubble circles and filled them with bling. Ialso finally got a hold of some Vellum and have been having so much fun with it. I used it to make my Doily by Marianne Design and mix in vellum petals into my Spellbinders Rose Creations flowers. I love how embossing the Vellum flower petals with my Dots Cuttlebug folder gave the flowers a pop.

One Layer Wonder

I am here today sharing my first ever done one layer card. It is hard for me to keep my hands and eyes focused on clean and simple but yeah...today this sweet created image by Melissa owner of Meljen's Designs called 'Hot Air Balloon' kept calling me out to show its intricate fun lines and swirls.

Love Him as Yourself

Hello Everybody,

I am here today sharing a scripture a Friend shared and I decided to make a card with it. This Scripture tugged at my heart strings as my heart has been heavy with all the publicity building division on the topic of  illegal aliens coming into our Country of USA. We are a blessed country to have freedom of speech and speak what is on our mind but it is sad when...a lot of this starts planting seeds of  hate, anger, greed and selfishness into the hearts of men. My prayer is Christians who have witnessed the loving-kindness, grace and mercies God has given and shown us lean more on God in faith and prayer, shine as lights and examples for the people in our land who are searching for security in our Government instead of God.

Card Details:
I hand typed this scripture Leviticus 19:34 on Word and merged with this Puzzle template jpeg file. Which you can copy and use.

I then used a Spellbinder Nestabilitie to cut my desired shape with the scripture.  Then distressed with three inks and put clear embossing powder to give it a gloss shine. I used the lovely Spellbinders Embossing Folder which is a double sided Designed folder. I inked the side with lovely crosses dry embossing a sheet of BoBunny Design Paper giving it a distressed look.  I also added more distressed ink touches and put clear embossed powder for a shabby shine.  Here is the final design layout of my card.

Hello Everyone,

Sharing one of my fun designed cards using lace, pearls, liquid pearls and even some bling and let us not skip that I even added fun bows made of pretty golden ribbon. The precious image is by Sheri Baldy called My Besties.  This particular image is called 'Sher and Cookie'.  All of them tickle my creativity tt is so hard not to want all of them.

I know I don't share the inside of my cards very often but I do decorate them too. So here is the inside of this card. I stamped the sentiment before I used the embossing folder.

Freebie Friday

Hi Everybody...

It is the first Friday of the Month and DigiStamps4Joy has a fun digital image in the Store for you to pick up and play with.
