Pocket Card fun...with Picture Tutorial

May Color Printable bk 11

Pink Christmas Coco Paper Pack

Hello Fellow Crafters,
Today is Friendly Reminder time that you still have until July 29th to enter your My Besties project into the

My Besties 3D and More...Monthly Challenge.
THEME: Anything Goes with a My Besties image

Today I will be sharing with you two fun Pocket Card styles and a Picture Tutorial on how to get started. On my first Pocket Card I chose to use my Anna Griffin April Garden Border Embossing Folder with Edge Die and the Garden Rose Die. I have so many lovely embossing folders and need to use them more often.
My beautiful Design Paper is from Sherri Baldy's/My Besties Design Papers which you can check out HERE. I love ALL of Sherri Baldy's Design Paper Packs and these particular sheets are from PRINTABLE - Pink Christmas Coco Pack of 9 sheets...they are all gorgeous and as you can see you can use some of them for any occasion.
I am featuring the adorable Printable Precolored May bk1 image

Here is my second Pocket Card where I used my Oval punch in front of the Pocket Card for  easy access to pull out the insert card. And the My Besties Design Paper Pack I am using is the "Vintage Violet" 8 pack .
On this Pocket card I am featuring the Printable Precolored image from the Besties Flower Power Mega Kit. My Besties Shop Store and check out all the goodies to play with.
There are some fabulous Images, Design Papers, Pocket Letters you get in this Mega Pack. I invite you to pop on over to the

Here is the picture tutorial on how I made my Pocket Card.
 All you need is:

  • Scoreboard
  • 6 x 6 sheet of paper(with a design of your choice---this will be the back of pocket card)
  • 5 x 5 1/2  sheet with your Design choices--this will be the front of your card
  • Scissors to cut the corners off ,  Oval or Circle Die or punch tor easy access for insert card--if you want one. As you see on my two Pocket Cards - one has one and the other does not.
  • Insert will be 4 3/4 x 5 1/2

This is where you can decide if you want to give your front and back top Pocket Letter fancy Edges or embossing effects with your current  Embossing Folders, Edge Dies and Punches BEFORE you glue together.

I hope my Picture Tutorial was helpful on getting you started on making your Pocket Card with a 6x6 sheet. I will work on getting better(heehee and spelling) on making these because I love sharing how I make my cards.

Until next time...Happy Crafting. May Joy, Peace and Health be yours.

Be Encouraged...

Hello Fellow Crafters,

I want to start my Post today with words of encouragement and Holy Scripture we can stand on in these times of darkness going on in the world. There is so much bad news shown by the media and internet.  It can make it seem like there is no way to find calm in the midst of all the turbulence. I have found God calms me in the midst of the storm as I trust in Him.
My Tag was inspired by the beautiful scripture Psalm 46: 1 designed into a Set of 4 different digital Courage Sentiments by my Crafting Friend Bonnie Kohane Designer of We Are 3 Digital Design Papers and Sentiments sold in the Miss Daisy Stamp Store.   Bonnie also has a Facebook Page HERE where you can join to keep up with her new Digital Paper Line and share your projects using them.

I would also like to invite you to come join the Miss Daisy Stamps Facebook Page for upcoming new images, sentiments and Design Papers. And there is also a Monthly Challenge you can enter using any Miss Daisy image.

I used the We Are 3 Digital Papers/Miss Daisy Collection pack of 8 sheets and one of the Courage - Sentiments that come in a set of 4.

Dies used in on my Tag Size #8 ( 6 1/3 x 3 1/8 inches)  :

My Besties Smorgasbord Fun

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

I am excited today to share how we can have fun using some of our delightful smorgasbord of My Besties Design Paper and elements we have in our stash.  The project I am sharing with you today is an easy fun treat holder which I am using as a Pen Holder to give to the Ladies at one of my upcoming Bible Studies. I may even add a lollipop in each one if I get to the Candy Store.
The My Besties digital pre-colored image I will be featuring is a Printable March PaperClip Bk1 image that Sherri Baldy designed after my precious Furbaby Little Miss Pepper.

For this project I will be using a smorgasbord of My Besties Design Paper sheets from the "Dear Santa" and "Fairy Garden" Paper packs along with some flowers embellishments leftover from
printing and cutting out from the Willow Wisp Fairy 3D Decoupage kit and keeping in My Besties Flower Stash.

The pens I am giving away are dollar store Bic pens that I have gently covered with yarn using hot glue and placed a pink rhinestone on the top.

You can watch the Youtube video I have attached and/or here are my written details of materials you will you need:
  • A  2" by 11" long sheet/strip of paper for your foundation to decorate.
  • A scoreboard...scoring this 2 x 11 at  6 1/2 and 6 7/8.
  • For the decorative design paper of your choice you will need 2 @  1 3/4 x 6 1/8 and 1 strip @  1 3/4 by 3 7/8 inches.
  • A 1" circle punch for the hole to put your treat/pen/pencil in
  • An Corner Edge rounder if you want to give your project a special look.
HERE is the Youtube video shared by a gracious Crafter Kerry. She actually calls this a Valentines Goodies it does have universal use.  I think it would even be great for the first day of school to give to students. There are so many ways you can use and decorate.

I invite you to pop on over to the My Besties Shop and check out all the fun and fabulous digital images, coloring books, clear stamps and more that are there to tickle our creativity.

Card and Gift Box Set ...My Besties Style

Hello Fellow Crafters...

I am here today sharing a fun Card and Gift Box Set featuring one of the new Card Toppers called Heart Topper and you can find it in the My Besties Store HERE.  I chose to make this Heart Topper into a 3D Decoupage project on both my card and the box.

I love the colors, vintage look and the pretty hat the My Besties Heart Topper image has. Here is my card featuring the beautiful Heart Topper
Here is my fun "One Sheet Box" gift box using a 12 x 12 sheet of Design Paper of your choice. I chose a double sided decorated design paper by K & Co....featuring the beautiful Heart Topper I placed on both sides and on Top of my box.

This is an easy "one sheet box" to make. I just tweaked and added my desired elements. I found the directions for this 'One Sheet Box' on Pinterest which was graciously shared by a generous crafter Ribbons and Glue. I will share a picture tutorial by them below so you can try this easy to make 3 x 6 inch box.

Here is the picture tutorial on how to make this easy box.
Box size: 6 inches long, 3 inches tall, 2 1/2 inches deep.

I hope you enjoyed your visit. And that I was able to tickle you into trying something new.
