Girls with Swords

Spiritual Weapons(Bracelet) Digital Image - DigiStamps4Joy - Created by Margy
Hello My Lovelies...

I am here today this Friday sharing with you a couple of things one this special card made with this inspirational image called 'Spiritual Weapons'  created by Margy one of the Designers and Owner of DigiStamps4Joy Shop.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to share why this image has a special impact on me as a  Christian. It tickled at my creativity...when I first saw this image and knew I wanted it because of the true meaning behind it. Also, because I have been trying to be more dedicated on putting on my armor of God  daily just like I put on my earrings each morning.

The sentiment 'Girls with Swords' is a title of a book and bible study by Lisa Bevere; Teaching: How to carry your cross like a Hero.  This study is being offered at my church right now. The thought of swords led my thoughts to violence which made me kind of hesitate at first...but Because God is my Hero I had to at least take a listen and/or look into.  Once I listened to the preview that I have attached above...I knew I wanted to look into the Study even more as a Woman with many hats I want to be able to stand strong, firm, bold and brave in God with his word as my sword against the evil one who keeps attacking me and my family. Insecurity shook me for a moment but...I did and have come to know that as I grow closer in trust and in faith through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior my stumbling blocks have...become stepping stones. I want to be a better person as a Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter and Friend and let Jesus' light shine.

In my young Christian walk I did read about the Armor of God...and as much as I hate to admit...It is now that I am finally soaking in and learning the full meaning in power and authority God gives us in his armor. I am so blessed to see now how God preps us as his soldiers with armor to fully downcast the evil one...as we trust him with his holy word/sword of truth to do what he says as we stand firm in Him.

Here is the Biblical Scripture that pertains to our spiritual weapons God has given us.
Ephesians 6:10-18(New International Version)
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

The Bible Study 'Girls with Swords' is stilling going on and it is enriching and empowering me to a better life's journey in the Lord tremendously. I hope you look into the book if a study is not available.
