In the Garden

Hello Fellow Crafters and Followers,

Sharing a second post today on a special card I made for a Cousin I have not seen in a while and have had her in my heart and prayers.  I saw this particular sweet image by Sherri Baldy/My Besties called Messy Bessy/IMG800.  Her sweet stance and cuteness reminded me of her.  Once I saw the Card Challenge over at My Bestie Spanish Challenge #2 with the THEME: In the Garden. I knew that was going to be my scene for Messy Bessy's background.
I designed my card to be an easel card overflowing with a nest of goodies you see in the garden.

I had bought a package of the miniature glittered nest with eggs last year after Christmas when they marked a lot of things 60 to 70% off so I knew I had to have them. Now I wish I would have bought more and are so precious in person. And my acetate die Bird sitting on a leaf is from a K & Company stash I have had for 3 years or so. Not to mention a big stash of bling I keep on hand. My extra mini-flowers are from my favorite on-line Flower Store The Rubber Buggy even though they sell all kinds of other goodies.
I hope you enjoyed my card overloaded with love and embellishments. I just hope she doesn't think...what is all this...I have never seen a card with all this stuff.  I even had to put a flower charm on it.  And what else do we do when we walk through a beautiful garden but... Dream...Wish...Love...Hope and Believe in the beauty that surrounds us. I thank the Lord for his colorful hand and creativity in the flowers blooming for us to enjoy.

Don't Worry Be Happy

Hello Fellow Crafters and Followers,

Digital Image-Big Girl Panties by Sherri Baldy/My Besties
Sharing today my fun with this adorable image called 'Big Girl Panties' designed by Sherri Baldy/My Besties and available in her Etsy Shop. As of today, Aug.27 she still has 50% off in her shop. So I took advantage of getting several of my favorite along with this new release.

They are all so much fun and tickle my creativity. When coloring and choosing my colors I am usually inspired to pray for a cause and/or certain people. This one hit home on being bold and brave to stand up in prayer for all the craziness that is going on in the world. People are getting lost, confused and violent.

Sometimes with all that is going on it is hard to stay calm and prayerful. But...by golly today at this moment I choose to stand, stop and...pull my big girl panties up and say 'hold on! if God is for me who can be against me'. knowing when I pray to God he is ready to answer and work in the midst. I pray for myself and those at times that lose sight in the storm and forget to hold on to faith. And especially those that don't know God seeks a personal relationship. He is ready and available to make his presence known in there lives.

Heavenly Father please help us to lift up the distractions and trials in our life journey to you. That our faith of a mustard seed will draw us closer to you as we see you work in our lives and for our country.

I love this image 'The Handyman' created by Margy.

I made this particular card for my adult Son. This image was perfect in more than one way. He has his tools he works with and I was reminding him as his Mother to use the tools God has given him to hold on to his dreams and trust God to hear his prayers.
Digital Image- Mini Misteri-Apple Basket

I had so much fun creating this card for friend. I had just come out of the hospital and she brought me a basket of her homegrown oranges. They were the sweetest and a tasty was to take vitamin C.  This precious image is Mini Misteri Apple Basket. And I have even used her to make a special Christmas card.

Hello Fellow Crafters and Followers,

It is time to start a new Bi-Weekly Challenge #99 over at DigiStamps4Joy with the THEME: Circles. Add any circular shape to your creation.  You can use any digi you want. If you use a DigiStamps4Joy image you can win $10 to spend in the DigiStamps4Joy Store.  If you use one from the 'other' guys the top randomly drawn winner will win TWO images of your choice from the store, and 2 runners up 1 image each. Come on and join the fun. It begins today Wednesday, August 20th through Tuesday, September 2, 2014.

Here is my fun with circles but first I wanted to share this tutorial someone shared and forgive me I can't remember where. It show you how to flatten bottle caps with your Cuttlebug Machine. Love it...it is so easy. I am finally able to use my big stash of bottle caps. I do use them the regular way. And had seen them sold flattened. I am laughing and embarrased to say I have tried doing it with a hammer and needless to say I destroyed the caps.  HERE is the Bottle Cap tutorial. I hope you find it easy, fun and it tickles your creativity.

My digital image is 'So Tweet' available in the DS4J Shop. I also used a couple flattened bottle caps on my card design for your inspiration to join in the fun.

I invite you to go by the DigiStamps4Joy Blog and check out on the lovely creations by the Design Team. Using my Favorite Colors

Digital Image by Sherri Baldy/My Besties - IMG693

Hello Fellow Crafters and Followers,
Sharing a fun card I colored with my favorite colors turquoise/sky blue with bronze/browns. The adorable image is one of Sherri Baldy's Big Eye Big Head Dolls Digital images you can find in her Etsy Shop HERE. This image is IMG693. She has a Flash-Sale of 50% off going on right now with CODE: YOURSPECIAL50. I am going to be using her images for my Christmas cards this year. So I am happy to have caught the 50% off right now.

I must share the majority of  my cards are inspired by the smiles that fill me inside out as I invite the awesomeness of the Lord God Jesus Christ and his works to come in and refill me with his grace and loving-kindness. There seems to be so many sad and terrible things happening in the world with families and health that can bring a person down and a lot of it has to do with attitude. I have to make it my choice not to let my surroundings drag me into a derogatory state.  And God is good company and listens very well as he fills me with encouragement.
I had a fun array of craft supplies I used on my card.

Fun with Non Colored Stamped Image

Hello Fellow Crafters and Followers

Having fun with a House-Mouse Designs Stamp that I have had for years. This one is called 'O Lucky Day' with Mudpie the mouse. I have a special love for them since they were the first stamp I bought and enticed me to color and craft cards. Right now...it makes me smile and happy to see I have taken my crafting and love of making cards to another level with the blessing of God. What tickled my creativity for this card is a Theme challenge over at House-Mouse & Friends-No coloring image. Immediately I was tickled to join in with the thought I don't even have to color a stamped image to feature it on a card. For this particular card design I decided to use some fun with 3D Paper Piecing. It takes a little more time especially since I was going to need to fuzzy cut some of the flowers into individual pieces. I actually find it therapeutic for me as I put on some soothing and encouraging Praise and Worship music on as I do my fuzzy cutting. After I fuzzy cut needed pieces I also use my embossing tool to give them dimension.

I hope you try this 3D paper piecing style. I was introduced to it a couple years ago by Blog Hopping where I found this wonderful, amazing card maker Mariska van der Veer. Here Blog is called Sending You a Little Smile. I encourage you to visit her because her works are jaw-dropping gorgeous with all her intricate details. Mariska has a Tutorial tab on top of her blog that gives you instructions on how she does her 3D Paper Piecing. She has several but the one I used is on her Whiffs of Joy line and/or Here.

Friend Card

Hello Fellow Crafters and Followers

Here today sharing my fun with the lovely digital freebie image by A Day For Daisies I got a while back. I absolutely love their artistic touch given to their digital images. You ought to check them out they have some fabulous images not to mention their Freebies for us to play with and join their fun challenges. You can check them out their Challenge Blog here.

I made this card for a special friend I love sharing talks with and it so happens it's always with a cup of coffee no matter what time of the day. She calls or I call when we need to talk or something is on our mind or we just need prayer. Don't you just love those friendships that you can just be yourself, no makeup, cry, laugh, talk about life and those sometimes bumpy journey we travel.  Before I share the full picture of the card I did a little something different with the inside I am going to share. I filled it with encouraging words and quotes.

As you see on the front and inside of my card design I used design paper by K & Company. The embellishments or some glossy diecut borders by K & Company that I fuzzy cut and may into 3D leaves and butterflies. I thought they were so pretty and wanted to try something different with the diecut border. THe digital image in the front with the Boot flower pots is by A Day For Daisies. I used a combo of color pencils and Spectrum Noir pens.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

Fun with My Little Dimples

Hello Fellow Crafters and Followers,

Sharing my fun card using My Little Dimples IMG103 from My Besties Pals series Designed by Sherri Baldy available at her Etsy Shop Here.

For some reason I knew when I saw this sweet IMG103/My Little Dimples I wanted to color her in these bright colors of yellow, red-orange and pink. She made me so happy with her cuteness and filled me with smiles of sweet memories. I thought of a picture I took of my grand-daugher when she was about 5 years old sitting in the front yard in front of my flower garden with her long curly locks posing for her Grannie Annie(me).  I am so grateful to have so many precious happy heart memories shared with her as she has grown to a young teen.

Here is my completed card overflowing with creative touches of love as I embellished with dry embossing using Anna Griffin/Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders Nestabilities Oval and Scallop Oval.  My intricate detailed dies are from Memory Box/Floral Vine and Die-namites/Butterfly Swirl and a new Anna Griffin die which I doubled and/or fuzzy cut for dimension.  The beautiful hot pink ribbon is a great find at Hobby Lobby at one of their 50% off. And my beautiful colored roses of different sizes came from The Rubber Buggy. My sentiment is from an Inkadinkado stamp set.
And here is an inside and side view of my card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
