Here is my card to tickle your creativity. I love hats and I use to wear them all the time. So I chose to showcase  this beautiful My Besties IMG697. I used a Top Dog Doily and my bow is made with one of Anna Griffins new bow dies.
Card Recipe:

I love making easel cards. It give me more area to decorate. As you can tell I am not a clean and simple card maker. But that does not mean I don't love them. I just don't have the touch. As I say that it makes me think of when people say they have a heavy foot when they drive...so guess I have a heavy hand. When choosing my design paper I loved this particular sheet of flowers so I thought I would have fun cutting them out with my scissors and making them 3D.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Sister Act #81 - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday #156 - anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Anything Goes
The Crafters Cafe #88- Things with Wings- (dragonfly & butterfly)
Brown Sugar #118 - Anything Goes
---------

Don't forget to come by and join the November Monthly Challenge THEME: Anything Goes plus add a Doily & Bow featuring a My Besties stamp, digi or 3D Deco. Can't wait to see what you create.

Until next time this Shabby Chic Grannie is out.  Be Blessed, Be Safe and Big Texas Hugs,

Bells, Baubles and Beads on A Cone

3D digital Image-Winter Wonderland skater/ My Besties - Designed by Sherri Ann Baldy

Hello Fellow Crafters,
Today I have the fun of sharing with you this adorable  Shabby Chic Decorative Laced-up Cone hanger. First I must share and say I got the idea from a talented, fabulous and gracious crafter Bibiana who shares her lovely how-to crafts on her Blog-Stamping with Bibiana. She had created a Victorian style cone.  What is so fabulous about gracious Crafters that share their How-to's is you can tweak to your creative touch. Bibiana does give you the instructions I am adding a few suggestions on mine for those that want a little more detailed measurements to go by. It was a fun paper project not very hard.

I chose to make this Shabby Chic Decorative Laced-up Cone to showcase this precious 3 D Decoupage -My Besties/Winter WonderLand Skater  which is pre-colored digital image I had won on one of my entries into My Besties 3D Decoupage Challenge.  And guess what...I am going to enter this one too...since they inspired and tickled me to create something using Bells, Baubles and Beads. I invite you to go visit their Challenge Blog their Design Team creations are always amazing.

These would be great for birthday party cones or just for a special someone.

Items Needed to make your own Decorative Cone:
- two 6x6 cardstock Design Papers
- ruler, scissors, hole punch, tape, glue
- ribbon or string or rope or tulle, or hemp( whatever you choose to use as handle)
- Embellishments of your choice

My Card Recipe:
3D Decoupage Image: My Besties/Winter Wonderland Skater
Design Paper: Bassill
Embellishments- Hobby Lobby/Feather, baubles, beads, bells, pearl spray
Ribbons and Lace my stash
Paper Ruffle-Petaloo
Aleene's Tacky Glue, Clear tape

Here are some pictures of how I started. Forgive me for not taking pictures of where I made markings to make sure I punched holes for proper spacing.

-Choose a 6x6 Design Paper with the side you want showing outside if you happen to use double-side DP like I did
-Choose 1 corner/2sides of it glue down your decorative edge
-Place/Tape handle on the Top side of the decorative edge
-Place/Tape decorative item you want to hang on bottom of Cone.

- Add a  1 1/2 inch strip of cardstock to each side where you are going to punch hole to lace your ribbon/string on for strength
-Choose your Design Paper to show from the inside to glue down.

The inside measurement of the new square to be covered is now 5 1/2 x 5 1/2
- Measure 1/2 inch in to start punching holes
- Punch holes in 1 inch increments

This 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 Square will cover the handle strings and bottom decoration and will make your Cone sturdy.

Get you a clap/big clip ready...to clip top ends together for lacing.

Once you have smoothed down and let all the adhesives dry start to mold your Cone with your hands to make the ends curve into each other. You can't see the holes I punch very easily with my design paper but they are their. I embroider so to make it easier for me I used 2 needles to thread my ribbon downward.

Here is my completed Shabby Chic Decorative Cone.

I hope I tickled you into giving this a try. I am once again so grateful for Bibiana tickling my creativity.
Here is another picture where I placed this precious paper project on my tree...here she is. As you can see the baubles and feathered decorative piece on my Cone are used throughout my Christmas tree decorated with love.
I would like to enter this paper project into the following Challenges:

My Besties Dutch - Anything Goes Winter(Used My Besties/Winter Wonderland Skater)

Bottlecap FUN

Digital Bottlecap Image: Pink Polka Dots --Designed by Sherri Baldy

Hello Fellow Crafters,

Sharing my fun playing with these precious new digital pre-colored My Besties Bottlecap images. I just love them. This one is called 'Pink Polka Dots' which you can find  several new Bottlecap images and more in the Scrapbook Stamp Society Shop.

This is how they come...all you have to do is load and print. They will print in 1 inch size diameter...so all you have to do is punch them out. I happen to have a 1 inch circle punch and it works beautifully. My bottlecaps I purchased during a halfprice sale at Hobby Lobby. I have had them for several years not liking the thickness of them as original bottlecaps until I saw they were sold flattened.  Well, I had all the others a package of 50 and was not going to buy more. I happen to be going through Pinterest and found this fabulous Youtube video that shared how to flatten them with a Cuttlebug machine...so I was a happy girl because I have a Cuttlebug.  Here is the video for you that want to flatten your own bottlecaps the easy way. I must share...I had even tried flattening them with a hammer...and yes I totally destroyed them.
Card Recipe:

Christmas Vintage Style

Hello Fellow Crafters,

The days seem to be passing so fast and I am behind in making my Christmas cards this year. Today I am sharing a vintage style card I made using a retired Sherri Baldy Christmas Vintage image. I just love it and there are other styles you can choose from in the Scrapbook Stamp Society Store.

I displayed this precious image on a card I edged with one of Anna Griffin's new edge dies with matching embossing folder. I also embossed and ink distressed the other side with an Pine branch edge embossing folder. I love the effect embossing folders give paper.
I embellished my card with those beautiful K& Co. poinsettia and pine cone flowers. I bought them a couple years ago at Michael's when they marked their Christmas stuff 75% off. They were a steal and I will have to restock this year when they go on sale again.

Until next time this Shabby Chic Grannie is out. Be Blessed. Be Safe. Big Texas Hugs

My Besties Uk Challenge - Anything Goes + Curls

Hello Fellow Crafters,
I am so happy I get to be a part of this fabulously talented Team and share.

It is time to start My Besties UK new bi-weekly challenge today, Monday, November 17th through Sunday, November 30th.  THEME:Project with Anything Goes or a project with  Curls/anything with curls.

You may enter your My Besties cards up to 3 times or once without. Please go by the My Besties UK Blog and check out the great digi prizes for this challenge along with the great designs and inspiration by the Design Team.

Here is my Anything Goes project with a criss-cross card I made to showcase My Besties digital image IMG443. She is so adorable. I chose her because of all the pretty little curls in her hair. I did something a little different this time when I colored her face. I blended some pink Prismacolor pencil over my Spectrum Noir on her cheeks and on the picture it looks funny but in person they look normally fine. Go figure...
Digital Image: My Besties-IMG443  -  Designed by Sherri Baldy

Since I have learned to make criss-cross cards I love playing with them. There are so many different detailed touches you can give them. Here is a Youtube video made by a gracious crafter "From My Art Lab" who made this great and easy to follow video that shows you how to make a criss-cross card.  I am sure once you will get the foundation of it you will let your creative imagination take you from there.

When I took this picture I forgot to take a picture of the otherside of the Just Because where I added a side pocket to place a tag to be used as a bookmark. But you can see it as I took the picture with it inside, below.

Sharing a Christmas card I made to tickle you to enter your Anything Goes plus Christmas cards into the bi-weekly My Besties UK Challenge going on through Sunday, November 16th.  You can enter your My Besties images up to 3 times and once without.

I love snowmen and this is one of many Sherri Baldy/My Besties has in her Etsy Shop. The one I am featuring today on my card is IMG382.

I wanted to do create a different background for my snowman and it took me awhile to figure out what I was going to do. I had fallen in love with this red checkered design paper. I first started to put my colored snowman on a tag. I laid it all down kept walking away and coming back to look a it and couldn't come up with anything else to put with him since I loved that design paper so much. So it finally hit me...I had a strip of the DP left from cutting the tag out and remembered from previous paper embellishments I have made wrapped box presents so...that is what I did.  I think so hard sometimes I forget to use the simple things. And also chose to use one of my many new Anna Griffin embossing folders for the background called 'Snowfall' and one of her snowflake dies.

Bag it Up...Pretty Please

Hello Fellow Crafters.

Sharing a bag I fancied up. I don't get to go to Michael's Store very often and when the other day just before halloween where they had some craft goodies 70% off. I bought 3 of these beautiful plain weaved bags. I can't think of the material name but they are gorgeous in person.  I knew I would have fun decorating and already had these autumn leaves in my stash from last year.

I bought this sweet adorable My Besties digital image4262 that was a new release in October 2014. I had to get her.

I had fun coloring her with a combination of my Spectrum Noir pens and Derwent pencils. I am featuring her in a new die set I bought by Spellbinders  set - A2 Valiant Honor. I don't know about you but for some reason I have been finding some fabulous prices on certain Spellbinder dies even the Grand Caliburdies have been 50 to 70% off on Amazon...You just have to check on your favorite wishlist ones. I also placed a couple of charms from my stash. The dragonfly I broke the charm loop off and glued it as a pin on my twine bow and the other Joy charm is hanging nicely.

I made this into a gift bag for the Thanksgiving holiday coming up here this month of November.

I would like to enter my craft project into the following challenges:

Anything But a Card #41 - Anything Goes(Gift Bag)
Try it on Tuesday  - Colours of Autumn

Cascade card

Hello Fellow Crafters,

I am here this Monday evening sharing a Cascade card I made. It was so much fun...not to mention a little confusing on my part on embossing the correct sides facing out. I am a Design Team Member for Meet at the Scrappers Corner and we have a Facebook page that we require you to be a Member of  as one of the main rules to enter your paper projects into our Monthly Challenge. Here is the Meet at the Scrappers Corner Facebook link everyone is welcome to join.  All that said to share this, we have a fun and friendly group of members along with an open Tutorial File where we all share new creative ideas for paper project and more.  I love visiting it now and then to pick up a new card technique.  And this is where I got the tutorial for the Cascade card I am sharing with you today. I have been eye-balling this card for awhile and finally found the right tutorial in the Meet at the Scrapper Corner Tutorial File. I have seen several but this one is the easiest and best with details.  Here it is available through Youtube by the gracious crafter Frances Martin known as Frenchie's Videos.  She gave me directions I followed and added all my special design touches to fancy it up to my liking.
I decorated my panels by first embossing with an Anna Griffin Christmas folder called Sleigh Bells then distressed with black and gold ink. Placing Cottage Cutz - Woodland Pine Trees glittered with Martha Stewart Sugar Cube glitter flakes...Die-namites - Pine Bough dipped in Martha Stewart Holiday glitter...Impression Obession Snowflakes dies covered with Stickles/Diamond.
And my fabulous fun My Besties digital image by Sherri Baldy is Winter Wonderland Blushing that I manually made into a 3D image using her bust portion.  I literally printed her 5 times and had fun coloring each section to get this 3D effect. It was not as hard as I first thought but quite fun. I colored her with a combination of Spectrum Noir and my Derwent and Faber-Castell pencils.

I have been wanting to do this and am real happy I did and love the outcome. I featured this precious Winter Wonderland Blushing digital image on a Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacey Circles to encase her in. I cut a couple extra along with using the Classic Scalloped Circles Large to cut the center out so my image could look like she was posing. I used Stickles/Diamond on the top Lacey Circles layer.
Once again...I really enjoyed making this Cascade Card with the help of Frenchy's Videos and Meet at the Scrappers Corner Facebook page. I invite you to join us as a friendly crafty group. We are small and growing.

And here a Cascade Card by Me.
