Design Paper, Scissor and Glue

Hello Fellow Crafters,

I am so excited to share with you today this fun and easy Gable Box I made with a tutorial I found on Youtube. It was easy as 1-2-3.  And it is just in time for the holiday season. Gift giving of  sweet treats, special teas or whatever catches your fancy that will fit in this box.  The size where I placed the image only is 3 3/4 wide by 4 inches tall (does not include the handle).

I saw an awesome fellow crafter share her Gable Box creation and believe me I went with simple and money saving smart for my first try. I just had to try it once I saw the tutorial. It actually is a good size box at least just right to give a small gift of love.  Even a gift card.  I will give you a few dimensions so you will know before you get into the tutorial. All it takes is a 8 3/4 by 12 inch sheet of Design Paper, preferably double sided looks really nice was my choice. A scoreboard would be nice or if you only have a ruler and pencil mark(lightly mark), scissors and glue. And like I shared above the space you have to work with if you want to showcase a specific image it is 3 3/4 wide by 4 inches tall(not including the handle area). Here is the tutorial to this Gable Box. I am going to say it is a wanna be Gable box if you have seen the real one you know what I mean.

I used a handpunch to make the oval hole for the handle and used those ovals to make my spiral roses. I am showcasing a My Besties Card Topper with Dimples on it.  Martha Stewart was my choice for a paper lace ribbon. I recycled several of design paper from other projects for this gable box even the ribbon. I used a pretty paperclip I bought on sale with a clear crystal on top to hold the  box shut.  I was just so excited I found the tutorial that helped me make this without a special board, SVG...it was all hand made with scissors, folds and scoring. I did use an edge rounder to give the top handle portion a nice clean elegant look. I hope you try this just a fun box/bag for sweet little gifts.

Here is a tutorial in case you want to learn how to make your own spiral flowers. You can use your scrap paper to make all kinds of sizes.  Here is the Youtube tutorial.

I would like to enter my paper project into the following challenges where I am also a Follower.
