Fun Creating My Own Background

Hello Everyone,
Today July 2, 2013 is a start of a new week of  Create Your Own Background  at 'Twist of Faith Card Challenge'. You can use watercolors, inks, stamps, or even your own drawing.

I decided to play with corrugated cardboard and my favorite embossing folders. My fabulous main attraction is beautiful whimsical 'Lizabeth Spring Music' one of many by creator Lucy Sunshine Stamps, Artist Heather Valentin. I hope you visit if you have not already Heather's wonderful world of Lacy Sunshine Gang Characters...you will want them all.  Lacy Sunshine Stamps is also the Sponsor this week so come on by.

Here is my card with Lizabeth Spring Music. She inspired my heart with Songs of Praise to my Heavenly Father. I have mobility issues with my legs mainly and each day is a challenge...for the physical strength I have today at times is gone or slows me down tomorrow... I am grateful I have limbs some are not so fortunate....So sweet whimsical Lizabeth Spring Music is my instrument today to shouting out my Rejoice in the Lord always Rejoice

For this card I USED:
Stamp DesignLacy Sunshine Stamps/Lizabeth Spring Music
Spellbinders Nestabilities- Grand Scallop Ovals, Ovals,
          Sizzix- leaf
Coloring- FaberCastell and Anna Griffin watercolor pencils
Martha Stewart - glitter pens/brownstone, turquoise, lapis
                                         lazuli, verdalite, peridot
          Embellishments - Recollections/flowers, butterfly
Embossing Folders by Cuttlebug and Anna Griffin/Treillage,

          Ink- Archival Ink/Sepia
          Gesso
          Sentiment-  Scripture/StampArt Designs by Kathryne

As you look at my card, I used four different background layers. One of the layers is corrugated cardboard that I diecut , then painted with Gesso, distressed with ink and glittered with Martha Stewarts 'brownstone' glitter.  I must mention the scripture by StampArt Designs by Kathyrne. Hope you visit Kathyrne's Blog and join her wonderful and gracious Freebie Digi's Newsletter. Don't forget to tell her 'Thank You' we want to encourage her work and blessing of the freebies.

I hope this inspires you to join in on this weeks Challenge at 'Twist of Faith'. Come on by and become a follower so you know what fun is being had. Our main objective is to create and use uplifting, healing, inspirational and scripture creations.

Until next time this Shabby Chic Grannie is out.

Wow, love the effect of the Geso on the corrugated cardstock. There is so much to see on this card even without the use of design paper. Sorry to hear about your health issues, it takes a strong woman though to look past that and be thankful for the things that you have been blessed with.

Hugs,
Mariska
